A defence minister has stated that the MoD is currently examining the possible security risks associated with Chinese cars, while personnel have been advised to refrain from discussing secret information in any vehicles.

During a recent interview on a radio station, Luke Pollard addressed claims that MoD staff have been told not to discuss secret information while riding in Chinese vehicles.
The minister explained that the ministry is “investigating” Chinese vehicles within its fleets, however emphasised that security is a concern in every contemporary vehicles.
Our department has a fleet of tens of thousands of vehicles in the MoD and Chinese ones represent a very small number.
